Scope
This policy applies to everyone who accesses primanza.com and to every means of access — a browser, a script, a crawler, an agent, or anything else that sends us a request.
It does not apply to the Primanza products. Each product publishes its own acceptable use terms, sized to what that product actually does, inside the product itself.
The general rule
This is a public website and we want it read. Read it, quote it, cite it, link to it, archive it, and analyse it. Almost nothing below restricts a person using this site for its purpose.
What the policy restricts is conduct that attacks the site, misuses the company's identity, or takes from the site at a scale or in a manner it was not published for.
Prohibited conduct
You must not:
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to this site, its servers, its infrastructure, or any system or network connected to it, or to any data not intended for you.
- Probe, scan or test the vulnerability of this site or its infrastructure, or breach or circumvent any security or authentication measure, except as expressly authorised by the Security page.
- Interfere with or disrupt the site or its infrastructure — including by denial-of-service or distributed denial-of-service attack, volumetric traffic, resource exhaustion, or any action degrading availability for others.
- Introduce, transmit or attempt to introduce any malware, virus, worm, logic bomb, or other malicious or technologically harmful material.
- Access the site by automated means at a rate or volume that imposes an unreasonable load on our infrastructure, or in disregard of the site's robots.txt directives.
- Harvest or collect email addresses or other contact information from this site for the purpose of sending unsolicited communications.
- Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble any part of the site, except to the extent applicable law expressly permits it and that permission cannot be contracted away.
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation, impersonate Primanza or any person associated with it, or state or imply a relationship — partnership, endorsement, employment, agency — that does not exist.
- Use the Primanza name, seal or marks in a way that is likely to cause confusion as to source, sponsorship or affiliation, or register a domain, account or application name that does so.
- Frame, mirror or republish this site, or a substantial part of it, so as to present it as your own or to obscure its origin.
- Use this site to violate any applicable law, to infringe any person's intellectual property or privacy rights, or to further any fraudulent or deceptive scheme.
- Remove, obscure or alter any copyright, trademark or other proprietary notice on the site.
Automated access and crawling
Search engine crawlers and archival crawlers that respect robots.txt are welcome and need no permission. So is a person scripting a reasonable read of a handful of pages.
What is not permitted is automated access that ignores robots.txt, disguises itself to evade rate limiting, or extracts systematically at a volume this site was not published to serve. If you have a legitimate need for bulk access — a research corpus, an integration — ask us at hello@primanza.com rather than taking it. We are more likely to help than to object.
Text and data mining
Primanza expressly reserves the rights in the content of this site for the purposes of text and data mining, including reservation under Article 4(3) of Directive (EU) 2019/790 on copyright in the Digital Single Market and any equivalent provision in other jurisdictions.
That reservation is machine-readable, because a reservation that is not machine-readable does not count under Article 4(3). It is published at /.well-known/tdmrep.json in the form defined by the W3C TDM Reservation Protocol, and it points back to this page as the policy. You do not have to read this paragraph to be bound by it; your crawler can read the file.
In plain terms: the content of this site may not be used to train, fine-tune or evaluate machine learning or generative AI models, or be incorporated into any dataset for that purpose, without our prior written permission. This reservation does not affect the exception for scientific research by research organisations under Article 3 of that Directive, nor does it restrict quotation, criticism, review, news reporting, or any other use permitted by law.
Note what this does not say. We do not block AI crawlers in robots.txt, and we do not intend to: this site exists to be read, indexed, cited and quoted, by people and by machines alike. The restriction is on mining the content into a training corpus, not on reading it. If you want to train on it, ask.
Security research is authorised, separately
Nothing in this policy prohibits good-faith security research conducted within the scope and rules set out on the Security page. That page is the authorisation, and it takes precedence over the prohibitions above to the extent of any conflict.
If you are researching in good faith and are unsure whether something is in scope, ask security@primanza.com first. We would rather answer a question than argue about a boundary afterwards.
Enforcement
Where conduct breaches this policy, we may block access, rate-limit or filter traffic, preserve and use relevant logs to investigate, report the matter to a hosting provider or to law enforcement, and pursue any legal remedy available to us.
We aim to act proportionately. A misconfigured crawler is a mistake and will be treated as one; a deliberate attack will not. Nothing here obliges us to act, and not acting on one breach is not a waiver of any other.
Reporting
To report abuse of this site, or misuse of the Primanza name elsewhere, write to legal@primanza.com. To report a vulnerability, use security@primanza.com and follow the Security page.
